During my childhood days, me and my friends used to play outside and gadgets was not our thing and we don't even bother to use those because it is more fun playing with other children. Those days we only watched our favorite catoon movies and during afternoon we are asked to sleep, after that you can play outside with your friends until evening. There, we can feel pure joy, happiness and excitement that a child can have. Playing outside with different kinds of games was part of the Filipino culture.

That time, Gadgets were not famous not like how it is known right now. Nowadays, I can barely see children playing outside their houses with their friends, instead they play computer games and some other gadgets. They prefer using gadgets and plays with their friends, using social medias and I felt bad about that. They never experienced how to play traditional games and on how to interact with other children around them.

These photos are some of the traditional games in the Philippines which we used to play when we are small kids. Luksong baka (first photo) it only needs 3 or more players and one player will be the baka (cow) who will crouch and gradually stands up as the game progresses. The other players will jump over him/her using his/her hands to jump higher and must not have other contact to the crouching player except the hands. Next is Tumbang  Preso (second photo) which requires 3 or more players and 1 player will be guarding the can and the others will throw their slippers from their base or designated line and make the can fall then get the slippers and run back to the base.

The third photo is Patintero this game requires more player and must have two teams. One team will be standing at the line and the other team will try to cross the line with being touched by the other team. All the players must cross the line without being touched and if they do that they will earn a score and a extra possession to play and if they fail, they will stand on the line and stop the other team to cross the line. Last photo is Chinese Garter This game requires two teams, two people hold both ends of a stretched garter horizontally while the others attempt to cross over it. The goal is to cross without having tripped on the garter. With each round, the garter's height is made higher than the previous round (the game starts with the garter at ankle-level, followed by knee-level, until the garter is positioned above the head).
