Four Most Known Electric Guitars

There are many types of guitars in the world, each with their own unique vibe and feel. Some people stick with one guitar for a long period of time, but some also keep on changing their guitars with a new one. Here are the most known guitars in the world which a lot of musicians have been using since they first came out to public.

1. Fender Stratocaster

When someone thinks of the idea “electric guitar,” a mental image of a Fender Stratocaster usually pops into their head. Any search for electric guitar clip art will prove as much. The sheer number of imitations, both corporate and homebuilt, are further evidence that the Strat is etching itself into our collective unconscious. Six decades after its launch, the Stratocaster is a guitar that remains above trends, working its way into the pantheon of timeless human ideas.

2. Gibson Les Paul

Almost certainly a special order guitar, here we have not only an unusually beautiful and highly figured sunburst Les Paul from the original series, but as far as anyone knows, the last one made. With a serial number over 300 units higher than the next latest one known, it dates to late 1960. The serial number has the second digit filled in instead of a space, which Gibson did on solid bodies until early ’61, in years when they ran out of 5 digit numbers towards the end of the year. The manufacturer’s date code places potentiometer production in the 28th week of 1960, and the guitar’s serial number puts it well after the introduction and production of a number of early SG Les Pauls, as some of these have lower numbers.

3. Fender Telecaster

After spending a brief amount of time as the Eddie Van Halen signature model, the Axis remained mostly unchanged, save for the new name, when Eddie and the company parted ways in the early nineties. Music Man currently produces both an Axis model, with dual humbuckers, a single volume knob, and Floyd Rose tremolo, and an Axis Super Sport model, sporting additional bridge options, pickup and control configurations, and wood choices.
