It is one of the well-known desserts in the Philippines which most restaurants have this on their menu. It looks like a sweet and creamy soft cake which is made up by eggs and milk with caramel syrup on top definitely not good for people having diabetes and high blood pressure. The serving of this dessert is quite small and you’ll be craving for more but it is absolutely delicious which can be bought in a cheap price due to its simple ingredients and easy making process.

There are many types and varieties of Toron but usually its main ingredient is banana which is wrapped with Lumpia roll and then fried it. We can buy it in different places, whether in the restaurants or in the streets. Vendors usually sell a simpler type of toron which is really affordable for students and workers. This kind of desserts is best for breaks and for refueling up when you’re hungry while doing something else.

It’s a frozen dessert shaped like cookies with a buttercream filling inside and coated with meringue crumbs. This dessert is quite expensive because its usually bought by box which has 5-7 pieces inside. This is not nationally known but it is famous in the visayas region of the country and it is not being sell on most restaurants. Nevertheless, when you try to taste this delicious dessert you would never regret buying it.

This is probably the most famous dessert that you could buy in the Philippines and you don’t have to worry about finding it because it is sold in every restaurant. Halo-Halo means mix-mix. This is probably refers to mixing different ingredients composed in a halo-halo usually shaved ice, ice cream, leche flan, nata de coco, beans and a couple more depending on where you bought it .This is popular because it is affordable and good for 2- 3 people per serving. It’s best for the Philippines due to its tropical climate.
