DNS 24 Goes to Batu Maloi Cave
Trip to Batu Maloi Cave
On 18 August 2019, we DNS 24 went to Batu Maloi Cave as a project by Ma'am Hanim, together with DNS 21. I can say that this event is one of the most anticipated event in semester 4, not only as a stress relieve, but also as an unremarkable adventure inside Batu Maloi Cave.
Our Journey started at around 0715 hrs when we departed from ALAM with ALAM bus. we went for around 1 hour trip, which in between some of us took their breakfast which is nasi lemak that Ma'am Hanim bought for us (Thanks Ma'am!)
At 0847 hrs we arrived at the main enterance. The bus couldn't fit the main gate so we had to walk some few minutes until we arrive at the camp in which Ma'am Hanim, DNS 21, and some other groups were already waiting. There we did some preparation like breakfast for those who havent taken theirs yet, some few briefing and also stretching. It was conducted together with the other groups.
at around 1000 hrs we started our caving journey. the grouping was mixed, we went with DNS 21 and another group of ladies. Sadly we could not bring our phones that time because we did not want to risk loosing our phones. For me the caving experience was purely awesome, starting from getting to feel the nature, climbing dangerous rocks, diving inside caves which was quite terrifying, and meeting some ugly and scary insects, but again it was all worth it.
We took this picture in one of the check point where we rested for a while and waited for the other groups. It was some good time where we could mingle with others that we were not really close with and also getting to know strangers from other groups. In this check point the guide told us that behind the rock that we sat on is a rocky structure that is shaped like a sailing ship, they told us the folktale about it and it was awesome.
further more we went to a cave with a rock that is said to be always wet, even when there is no presence of water inside the cave. The rock is said to have 2 figures on it, which is Maloi and the girl that he liked. Sadly at this part of the journey, we almost finished the whole caving trip.
It was a super experience for me, because I personally love the nature and I like to go for adventures, and I also love meeting strangers and getting to know others more. I hope one day I'll be able to come here again, even better if its with my batchmates <3
So.. for closing..
Thank you for the experience Ma'am Hanim!!! :D
