WANDERING: KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIA IN A DAY

Earlier this year, we had an educational tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We had the chance to visit few tourist spots. It was a four (4) hour journey. We travelled from Melaka at 0700H and arrived in KL around 1100H.

Our first stop, Seri Wawasan Bridge. It is one of the main bridges in the planned city Putrajaya, the new Malaysian federal territory and administrative center. This futuristic asymmetric cable-stayed bridge with a forward-inclined pylon has a sailing ship appearance, accented at night with changeable color lighting.

Our next stop was in Perdana Putra. This building in Putrajaya, houses the office complex of the Prime Minister of Malaysia. I could have shake hands with the prime minister and take a selfie (laughs). Unfortunately, we were not able to go inside. There were also a lot of tourists taking photos in front of the office. We became a tourist attraction as well, tourists ask our group to have photos with them, got the celebrity feels for nearly 30 minutes (laughs).

*This is the only photo I took when I was there. I'm a big fan of gates.

And for the finale, Kuala Lumpur's main tourist attraction, PETRONAS Twin Towers. I first saw this building in John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo’s movie “Miss You Like Crazy” during my younger years. I don't admire buildings but I’ll make an exemption on this one. According to Wikipedia, this twin towers were the tallest building in the world from 1998 to 2004. Its height is 451.9 m (1,483 ft.) and got 88 floors plus 5 floors below ground.
